Dr. Richard J. Pasiewicz was born in Chicago and raised in Glenview, Illinois. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s degree in medical science from Boston University. Dr. Pasiewicz went on to complete his dental training at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011 and his general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 2012. While in dental school, Dr. Pasiewicz was awarded the Pierre Fauchard Academy Senior Student Award, the International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award and the Foundation of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award, as well as served as Class President throughout his tenure. He returned to the University of Illinois at Chicago for his advanced endodontic training and graduated in 2014.Dr. Pasiewicz is a board-eligible endodontist and an active member in the American Dental Association®, the American Association of Endodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. Since 2014, Dr. Pasiewicz has volunteered his services to patients from Donated Dental Services, a branch of Dental Lifeline Network, which coordinates free dental care for patients who are permanently disabled, elderly or medically compromised. In addition, he is also on the faculty as an attending physician and part-time educator at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Pasiewicz enjoys cycling, playing tennis, cooking and traveling.

 

Cristina Olarov, DDS
Cristina Olarov, DDS
Dr. Cristina Olarov was born in Romania, and she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s College of Dentistry in the city of Timisoara. After completing one year of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship and two years of General Practice Residency in her home city, she followed her husband to the United States.Continuing her passion for dentistry, Dr. Olarov completed two years of Advanced Standing Degree Program/International Dentist Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was elected a member of Sigma Chapter Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, the highest honor a dental student can attain. Due to her high academic achievement, Dr. Olarov was also the 2010 recipient of the “Dr. Robert Savage Award” and the “Astra Implant Award”.Dr. Olarov worked as a general dentist in a private office in Oak Lawn, Illinois, before she returned to the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry for her post-doctorate specialty training in Endodontics.Dr. Olarov is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists, and an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Illinois Association of Endodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. She also volunteers as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.Dr. Olarov lives in Naperville with her husband and three daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading and listening to classical music.

 

Ryan Teahen, DDS
Ryan Teahen, DDS
Dr. Ryan Teahen was born and raised in Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate and dental school education, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2013. After graduation, he completed a one-year fellowship in general dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts, at a community health center. He practiced general dentistry for two years primarily in Chicago, while concurrently working with a pediatric mobile outreach clinic that services at-risk neighborhoods. It was during this time that Dr. Teahen found his passion for endodontics. He then returned to the University of Iowa for a two-year advanced education program and earned his specialty certificate in endodontics in 2018.During his time at the University of Iowa, Dr. Teahen earned the Dean’s Student Leader Award in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, recognizing his leadership within the college; the Practice Management Award in 2013 for his excellence in the treatment he provided to patients during dental school; and the American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award in 2013 for his achievement in community dentistry and dental public health. in 2019, Dr. Teahan joined the boards for the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club and the Elevated Dentistry Study Club, and is also a member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. He enjoys participating in dental outreach initiatives both locally and abroad – including service trips to Jamaica, India and Ghana.In his free time, you’ll likely find Dr. Teahen enjoying the outdoors, running, skiing or biking along the lakefront trail. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters cooking together, visiting museums and traveling.
