Contemporary Endodontics was founded in 1981 by Dr. James E. McCormick. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Dr. McCormick decided to start his practice in Chicago after completing his specialty training at the Loyola University School of Dentistry. Through Dr. McCormick and his associates, the practice quickly established its reputation of upholding the highest standards of patient care, a commitment to excellence and a passion for the specialty.

Having completed his dental training at Loyola University School of Dentistry, Dr. Carlos Diaz-Albertini served as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps and completed his specialty training at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, after which he found his home at Contemporary Endodontics in 1995. Dr. Diaz-Albertini and Dr. McCormick continued to pursue their passion by staying at the forefront of the field of endodontics and expanding the scope of their practice throughout the south suburbs of Chicago.

Contemporary Endodontics was officially adopted as the moniker of the practice in 2012. Dr. Richard J. Pasiewicz joined the practice in 2014 as an associate and worked alongside Dr. Diaz-Albertini and Dr. McCormick until their retirement in December 2014. Dr. Pasiewicz’s passion for endodontics and his commitment to excellence and providing compassionate and professional patient care paralleled that of Dr. McCormick and Dr. Diaz-Albertini.

Since assuming ownership in 2018, Dr. Pasiewicz and Isaac No continue to serve the community that Contemporary Endodontics has been a part of for so long. They are dedicated to continuing Dr. McCormick’s and Dr. Diaz-Albertini’s legacy of professionalism, distinction in the field of endodontics and compassionate patient care.
